Taking an MBA

I've decided to take an MBA after years of postponements. I took the entrance exam 3 weeks ago and realized that it was more than 10 years since I graduated from college. The exam was a nice way to wake up the brain cells that lay dormant through the years.

The schedule of classes in the Ateneo-Regis MBA program allow me to keep my day job. Classes start in 2 days. So far I've read 5 chapters of accounting. I need to write 2 papers for my first day in class. Meanwhile, I've posted bookmarks to suggested readings: http://del.icio.us/jgngo/manacc and http://del.icio.us/jgngo/ateneo

I enrolled in 2 subjects - Management Accounting and Management Dynamics this term. Classes are held once a week for 4 hours at a time. At a rate of 2 subjects a term, I should be able to finish the program in 14 months. Each term is only 8 weeks.

Hi Jason,

Nice blog :-)

I just came across your blog when I was searching for Ateneo-Regis. I have just enrolled in MANDYN, and next week is my class. I'm an incoming freshman.

Hope you won't mind if I ask you for a template of case analysis report. Before the first session, I have to finish the written assignment. I'm clueless how to begin my case analysis report because I don't know the template or format.

Can you send me the format please if you have one? My email is alexan73_2000@yahoo.com. God bless.

Hello Jason,

Do you still remember how the entrance exam was like? I just got my exam permit :D and I'm kind of trying to gather all the info I can get to prepare myself.

Thanks very much!

The entrance exam was pretty straightforward. About 1/3 is English comprehension. Only tip is to bring a calculator for the math part. You'll lose valuable time if you have to do the calculations by hand as I did.
